PhV Net

PhV Net is the name given to the Pharmacovigilance System developed by Dimension Research. This is first of its kind voluntary initiatives taken by a private organization to address the need of Pharmacovigilance System for their country.
A dedicated site has been developed with an international standard Electronic Adverse Drug Reaction Reporting Form.

Establishment of 1st PhV Center in Public Sector of Pakistan

Dow University of Health Science in collaboration with Dimension Research has established the first Pharmacovigilance Center in a Public Health Care set up of Pakistan. This national milestone for Pakistan has been inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Professor Masood Hameed Khan on 13th June 2013 at a ceremony organized by the Pharmaceutics and Therapeutics Committee and Department of Pharmacy at OJHA Campus .

The ceremony was attended by representatives of Pharmaceutical companies i.e., Abbott, Otsuka, PharmEvo, Martin Dow, Medisure etc. as well as academia , medical students and research fellows.

In addition to this an appreciation message from Prof. Abdul Samad Khan Director of National Central Laboratories and HOTC of Drug Regulatory Authority Pakistan has been shared by Prof. Dr. Sumbul Shamim Dean and Principal Faculty of Pharmacy. Chief Guest Dr.Waheed Qaiser of Medisure Pharma highly appreciated the efforts of DUHS , Prof. Dr. Sumbul Shamim and Dimension Research CEO Mr. Khurram Zaki & his team in achieving this patient safety milestone for the country.

The Adverse Drug Reactions (ADRs) data from >100,000 in and out patients treated at OJHA Campus will be stored and later analyzed by using Dimension Research web based data base the PhVNet. The Dimension Research Pharmacovigilance Officers will work with DUHS team to collect , clean and report the ADRs.
